This took me a few years to write. The first version was only heard by a few people because it needed something, so I never released it to the public. The inspiration for the final verse took years to show up, and here it is.

The song is about the power of music, and singing in particular, to heal, with romance intertwined.

It's the first song of a song cycle that tells the story of someone's evolution and understanding of love as their relationship evolves from infatuation to a healthy, loving relationship.

It's the most vulnerable I've ever been in any music I've released.

It would be wonderful to record this with a chamber ensemble as it is supposed to be, so please consider paying the dollar (or more) to help make that a reality.
